Yahoo Messenger sebagai salah satu layanan Instant Messaging yang paling popular dan paling banyak digunakan didunia kembali merilis versi baru : Yahoo! Messenger 9. Pada versi ini terdapat beberapa perbaikan dan lebih baik dari versi sebelumnya. Untuk yang belum melakukan update pada YM bisa melakukan upgrade ke versi baru ini dengan mendownload file offline installer dibawah postingan.
